Tonight, I'm making a yummy food, which is great for winter and cold weather. It's made with red lentils, which you can buy from any supermarket. You can serve this food as stew or soup. This food is great for your meatless mondays. I hope you like this food :)

This food has mushroom, garlic, lentils and cayenne pepper.

What you need
Small onion: 2
Botton mushroom: 3
Olive oil: 1 Tbsp
Medium potato: 2
Hot water: 4 cup
Tomato paste: 2 Tbsp
Curry powder: 2 tsp
Salt: 3 tsp
Cayenne pepper: 1/8 tsp
Red lentils: 1 1/2 cup
How to prepare
- Chop onions and stir them with olive oil on medium heat in a saucepan.
- When onions are golden and soft, chop mushrooms and potato and add to the onions.
Mix hot water and tomato paste in a small bowl and add it to the saucepan. Add curry powder, salt and cayenne pepper. Cook until potatoes are half cooked.
Add red lentils, and cook over low heat until red lentils and potatoes are cooked throughly, in about 20 minutes. Stir every 10 minutes.You can serve potato dal with peppermint pita bread (Recipe) and Spring greens mix.
